Like: The Target ad with the female teacher listing all the supplies the kids will need. "So much glitter!" Also, the DQ ads, because they're just so over-the-top silly.

Hate: (and I mean REALLY hate) The Mitsubishi air conditioner ad with the guy "beating himself up" about turning the temperature down a couple degrees. It wouldn't be so bad, but then he whines "But I'm sweaty!" Well, duh! He's wearing sneakers, jeans, and a long-sleeved shirt. Maybe he should dress for the weather instead freaking out about air conditioning costs.
There are a couple others, but they've slipped my mind.

Ok. First JGWentworth isn't a bank, they are a factoring company. What they do is purchase your future payments based on the future value of the money. Structured Settlements can not be used as collateral for a bank loan. If you look at the paperwork it should state it somewhere.

However there are other factoring companies out there other then JGWentworth/PeachTree (same company) that can purchase all or some of your future payments for cash. It is best to shop around and get the best quotes. Typically smaller companies that don't advertise on television have less overhead therefore than can offer better rates.

and thats a problem w/a structured settlement..it pays out over time....you'd have to call the

banks n see if they'll accept that as bais for loan....the sharks out there will buy your settlement

to give you cash to work with like you want, but you can see the hit is heavy from them....the 50%

factor..but then again..you're talking ten yrs before something gives there...so you're using their

money for ten yrs before they get any of it back...long time...

so are you proposing to go to a bank and get a note on this settlement basis and pay it back over

ten years? that wont happen either.....they want money now on a note..they're not about to wait

around on you to get your settlement...it also shows them that you dont have funds on hand to work

with or are heavily in debt at the moment and need to be thrown a lifeline............ not good.

you're gonna have to do some more thinkin on this one.............

It is called the time value of money. Or internal rate of return.
There are at least another three of four Wentworth type companys that advertise on TV. Call everyone of them and a couple more on the internet and you will get a competitive bid.
Or, if you only need the money for a short term, try a hard money lender, pay some interest and pay back with the proceeds.

"Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread,
nor money; and do not have two tunics.
And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.
And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake
off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them."

Getting a loan for $6000 without a credit history or collateral will be impossible.

Can you work something out with your mom? Live with her until July 2012?

I have 25 years experience handling worker's compensation cases. One VERY important point that needs to be addressed is under what state are you receiving benefits? Your rights and benefits vary by a huge amount depending on the state. I'll try to answer your question if you can provide that information.

Now that I have additional details, what you need to do is re-apply for a modification of benefits when your workers comp settlement proceedes are exhausted. Unfortunately, there are always limits of the percentage of pre-disability income you can have once you go on disability. This even applies if you happened to have private disability insurance. It should be a simple process with social security to document the termination of your benefits once this occurs and you will then get an offset from social security to keep you monthly benefits stable.

If it comes down to going on permanent disability, this is under SSI. You will need to file a claim and go through their merry games. Basically, they will tell you "We decide if you are disabled or not". You can go to the SSI/Disability website for information.

You need to apply for your social security benefits. Be advised that you may be denied from social security the first time. If so, then you hire a lawyer that handles social security benefits. Its a long process but it worth it. I just went through this process. I have been out of work since 10/2005. Just received my back benefits 2 months ago.
ss #800-772-1213 phone number.

Prior to me receiving my back log benefits, I was receiving benefits from my previous...long care insurance. You want to know how does your workmn comp affects you if you are applying for ss benefits? This is one important question that you need ask. Make sure you get all medical records. Dates are important ie, doctor visits, labs, hospitalization, theophy, etc....
Good luck
