accident settlement: geico; hit & run; fractures?

I, the driver, going 40 mph (the speedlimit) was hit by a hit & run driver at 90 mph; my car hit a tree, a fence, and rolled 5 times down a hill. The other driver never stopped and was never found; two witnesses gave police statements. It was determined not to have been my fault. My child in the passenger seat was taken by ambulance to local ER; xrays and treatment and ambulance totaled about 9K. My child was sore for a few days and only has a small scar on his hand.
I was airlifted to a trauma center with fractured collarbones, collapsed lung, broken rib and assorted bruises, and hospitalized for 4 days. The bones are still healing. I went to physical therapy for 2 months and had cortisone shots in my shoulder. My total medical bills were about 40K.

Car was totalled.

Although I am still having pain when going about normal household chores and my right shoulder healed slightly deformed, the ins lady wants to offer me a settlement. Any advice?

I was the driver in a rear end car accident on the highway Feb of 2010 in Idaho. I was not at fault at all. I was experiencing major neck and back pain so I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Was told I had gotten Cervical and Thoracic strain. I've dealt with muscle spasms and stiffness ever since, even after physical therapy and other doctor appointments. My medical bills came out to 62 for everything. This accident has caused me to put my life on hold because I wasn't able to find a job due to always hurting and going to physical therapy. I had also been planning on having a small wedding before my husband deployed but that wasn't able to happen because of all the other stress and anxiety the accident put on me. With all of the stresses I was dealing with, this and the strain on my relationship it caused was not needed.

If anyone out there has any advice or any idea on about what I should be getting as a settlement, please let me know! It is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

I was in a car accident and was hit by a utility vehicle that ran a red light...My car was totaled out at the scene...I was then taken in an ambulance to the hospital overnight and had a concussion, bruised kidneys, and later found that I had hurt my leg and now have nerve damage, causing me to have to take meds 3 times a day and wear a prosthetic brace... Unfortunately the driver had no insurance, but I did have med coverage up to k and uninsured motorist coverage up to k... I missed days at work, used lots of personal/vacation time to cover this, and have undergone lots of meds and tests since... I am 26 years old... Can someone with any experience give me any opinion on the amount of settlement I should accept out of the k?? Thank you!

OK, question for those who know Medical Terminology and hopefully know something about auto accidents and settlements.

Long long story short, I was hit head on by a drunk driver about 15 months ago. The other driver was at fault, and died on the scene. I was taken by ambulance to a hospital with broken bones in my foot and arm, as well as 3 herniated discs, along with the typical cuts and bruises.

I am really nervous about driving, and am diagnosed with PTSD.

Further, I just recently received my doctor’s reports, I have permanent partial disability with an impairment ratio of 12%.

The other driver had coverage of 0k. Clearly this driver was in the wrong. I have about k - k in doctor bills, and have reached Max Medical Improvement. (I have tried all kinds of therapy)

What can I realistically expect for a settlement? I am not looking for an easy score here, but the dr. also said I will need surgery in the future, the odds of improvement right now with surgery are only 40%. Not worth the risk, they said.

What should I expect? Sorry for the long post, thanks in advance for your thoughts. Yes, I have an attorney, meeting with her in about 2 weeks to go over everthing. Just looking for some thoughts now.

I was involed in a car accident with a commerical vehicle.The other driver ran a red light at and intersection and t-boned me in my drivers door.My car was totaled and I had to go away in an ambulance.I suffered a minor concussion,glass throughout my head,burns from the aig bags being deployed and a severe sprained ankle.I under went a MRI and a CT scan.I had 12 physcial therapy sessions.Healing took over 5 months.I only lost a week of work.Because I have an office job,I was able to sit and take breaks as needed.Medical bills were ,000.Lost wages around 0.The other party was found and admitted 100% fault.What would you think a fair settlement amount would be ?

We were in a recent accident and my 18 yr old son went to the hospital with a pain in his side soon after. He was released about 2 hours later and given a muscle relaxer. He seemed fine and didn't have to continue taking the med. The insurance adjuster called and offered the above amount factoring ambulance, pain & suffering (bill from hospital sent was 2) I was wondering if this was fair or should we renegotiate? My husband has a lawyer for his injuries but due to my son not having continual problems, he's not being represented. Any suggestions? Thanks

I was in a car accident where i was the passenger in a car that got rear ended. I ended up going to the hospital in an ambulance and around 00 later the insurance company calls wanting to settle. They are covering all my medical bills and want to start negotiating my settlement. Anyway I don't know where to start and would like a little advice. Thanks in advance.
Just to add i ended up with big gash in my head and stitches. i was sore for about 2 weeks and am currently dealing with an infection in the gash.

What amount can I expect to receive as a settlement for the accident I was involved in? The accident occurred in Pennsylvania. About 11 months ago I was "T" Boned by a tractor trailer in my new F150 PU Truck.
I was traveling about 35 MPH when I approached an intersection where a tractor trailer did not make a complete stop (he had a stop sign, I did not) but continued to proceed through the intersection and hit me. I was taken by an ambulance to the local hospital where they ran some tests and I was released. I suffered neck and back injuries in which I followed up with a physical therapist for a month and 9 months at the chiropractor. I incurred about ,000 in medical bills and ,000 in truck damage.
I did hire an attorney from the beginning but have not yet talked about any settlement. My treatment ended last week. I continue to have minor back and neck pain. What amount should I expect to receive?
