AUTO Accident how much should I settle out for? Myself and two children were in the car and a man in a Ford...
A man in a Ford Pickup truck backed into my car while in a Walmart parking lot my daughter shoulder and neck are sore,my leg got bumped on arm rest and is sore,
2 Questions:
my disabled son didnt complain of pain should I request pain and suffering for him? too

How much should I settle out for with the Insurance
company ,for me and my daughter that were injured?

The adjuster said he was only going 2-3 mph,but we still got jerked around.

I was in auto accident 8/2010, i was paid for loss of my car and settled for my son. I had gone to back dr for 12 weeks an was released last week, i feel the guy at fault should pay up for medical bills and lawyer fees and suffering.
I was in accident 8/2010, i settled for loss of car and my son, MY settlement is still pending,
okok.. missin details.. there where 3 cases pending against the guy at fault.. MY CAR closed..myson Closed.. my case is still open and pending. I was not at fault in any way. i was hit head on.
my son and car was not represented by my lawyer, i am however. an we did sue right away. i lawyered up day after accident. my lawyer submitted dr results to the ins for guy at fault an wait for offer. i jus wanna kno what i am entitled to

I was involved in an auto accident in which the vehicle was totaled out. The vehicle has already been settled. I received a hairline fracture of the lower jaw (which the dentist left heal on its own); along with severe nerve impingement, severe case of spinal subluxations (shiftment of the vertabraes) & sciatica. I spent 4 months going to the Chiropractor & 2 months going to physical therapy. I do have slight pernament damage in the form of slight sciatica & nerve impingement & will have to forever seek chiropractor and/or medical care do to my injuries derived from the accident (final release statement from the chiropractor). I occured ,000 in Medical Bills & ,500 in Lost Wages. I have an attorney representing me in the case; however what would be a fair settlement amount on this case?

We were in an auto accident 7 months ago that involved an uninsured drunk driver and the 4 members of my family. (2 adults and 2 small kids). Our call was totalled and we all sustained injuries with 2 of us needing significant therapy for months afterward.
The adjuster (from my insurance company), called with a settlement figure that seems really low compared to what we've been through. To give you an idea, it's about half of what our total bills were and there are good sized liens on there making it even less.
I'm not looking to get rich here at all and don't expect a ridiculous amount of money but we have been through a lot and my neck will never be the same.
Is this amount negotiable without a lawyer and if so how much room is there to move? Also, what to do about the liens on the medical bills? Any advice from adjusters, etc.? Not interested in hiring a lawyer as I'm not wanting to be greedy here. Lastly, suing the driver is a lost cause. Thanks

I am in the process of settling an insurance claim for an auto accident in WI. The other party was 100% at fault, my auto was a total loss, and the other party's insurance company has accepted liability for the incident.

As part of my settlement figure, I was told to include an amount for "loss of use of vehicle." Can anyone help me out with what this is?

I was told it is compensation for not being able to use the vehicle from the date of the accident to the date my insurance company offered me settlement for my totaled vehicle. Is this true?

Will my having a second vehicle available for use after the accident occurred affect this?

How many days and what dollar amount per day should I request?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Me and my ex wife were involved in an auto accident while we were married. I broke two bones in my back and she messed up a nerve in my leg. My settlement offer from the insurance company was 35k and her settlement offer was 15k. Can she sue me for community property for my back injury?
I mean I have back problems I don't know what I'm going to do. if she gets my settlement.

Me and my fiance were involved in an auto accident where the other driver was completely at fault. This accident happened over 2 1/2 years ago. I was pregnant at the time and my fiance had to have surgery and 6 months of therapy to rebuild his shoulder. We lost all of our income for 7 months. His medical bills and lost wages exceeded 100 thousand $. Now we are trying to settle and the insurance company offered to pay the medical bills,lost wages plus 5,000 dollars "pain and suffering" We are not trying to be greedy here but it seems like nothing compared to what was messed up by the accident. Our lawyer seems so non chalant about it. My fiance asked about the 3x the medical bills for pain and suffering and our lawyer told him it was a myth and not to expect more than what the ins. com. offered the 1st time. Does this seem fair...I'm seriously considering getting a 2nd opinion from a different lawyer...anybody been through the same kind of thing...what was the end result? Thanks!
We are not trying to make a "profit" off of it...but I had to basically be a caregiver to a grown man for 3 months while I was 7 -9 months pregnant...His doctors say he has permanent disability in his right arm/shoulder that could definitly cause probs later in life (we were only 23 when it happened) Not to mention we were financially set until this happened and when my daughter was born we had to borrow money just to buy the nessicitiys needed for her.
Our attorney isn't offering any advice and the policy limit is 0,000 per person so ,000 did seem silly to me
No...it doesn't include lost earning potential
